Directo Announces Additional Green Paperless Payroll Solutions
Directo expands its paperless payroll service offerings.
October 28, 2009 - Directo announced today the expansion of its paperless payroll services. Employers can now provide electronic pay stubs and W-2s to their employees through new online services offered by Directo. Additionally, Directo has launched a new way for their paycard holders to access their account balances via cell phone text messaging.
"Americans are moving at a rapid pace to acceptance of paperless pay. Technology has also advanced to the point where the Internet and cell phones are the major access point for information," said Bob Howe, President and Chief Executive Officer of Directo.
"Directo has chosen to utilize this technology to offer services that help companies eliminate the time, expense and waste of paper distribution of not only their paychecks, but also their paystubs and W-2s. In addition, we wanted to offer our cardholders an alternative, convenient method of checking their pay information where ever and whenever they choose via text message."
"The ability for our employees to receive text message pay information is very exciting, especially for our remote workers who might not have immediate access to the Internet or an ATM," stated Kristin Mahar, manager of a large staffing company. "This has eliminated calls from employees looking for their deposit information, allowing us to focus on other employee-related matters."
Directo has been helping employers eliminate pay checks via the Directocash paycard for over a decade.
Employers have seen the impact of savings they and their employees achieve by eliminating paper checks. Now with the ability to provide an electronic solution for paystubs and W-2s, the savings can be even greater for employers. And with a seven year history of pay information online available, this convenience will serve their needs now and in the future.
